A connection between Rosedale and Evans can serve to unify disparate neighborhoods and reactivate a struggling neighborhood. Vacant land and rundown single-family homes can be reimagined as a new development with mixed-income housing, restaurants, community kitchens, food halls, hotels, and new cultural centers. This new neighborhood will focus on integrating the new housing development seamlessly with the community and surrounding park. Additionally, it will incorporate sustainable design features, such as farmer’s markets and cooling streetscapes.
