Project Description:
This adaptive reuse project in Camp Bowie West, Fort Worth, breathes new life into a building with a controversial past, transforming a former strip club into a vibrant community hub. Recognizing the potential for revitalization in the area, our team undertook the challenge of redesigning and reimagining the structure to better serve and engage with the surrounding neighborhood.
The original facade, which was once uninviting and closed off from the community, has been completely reworked to create an open, welcoming presence that reflects the changing character of Camp Bowie West. The design emphasizes connection and transparency, with large glass panels on the ground floor to foster a sense of openness and invite interaction between the interior spaces and the street.
Outdoor seating areas and landscaping have been added to encourage pedestrian activity and provide communal spaces for the neighborhood to gather. This project not only revitalizes a previously neglected structure but also contributes to the broader urban renewal of Camp Bowie West, enhancing the quality of life for residents and fostering a renewed sense of community.
